PASCAL Water Sampler
Revolutionizing water sampling technology
Named after the French inventor of the syringe, PASCAL collects discrete water samples into exchangeable syringes. Collected samples can be capped and removed in a matter of seconds, eliminating the risk of loss or contamination commonly experienced with traditional sampling methods.
Standalone package ready for the field
The standalone PASCAL samplers can be configured with 5x60mL or 8 x 100 mL syringes and are rated for 100 m depth. Supplied with a cable and trigger reel, they can be deployed from a small boat or even a kayak.
Compact enough to become a payload for even smallest platforms
PASCAL can be configured for external power and triggering, making it suitable as a payload for small underwater platforms (e.g. ROVs and AUVs ) or in conjunction with other instrument packages.
Widely customizable
PASCAL can be customized through the integration of various sensors, cameras, and/or features such as depth- or time-based triggering. The number, size, and type of syringes can also be modified to suit the application. The syringes can be also supplied with anti-backflow check valves and preloaded with sample-preserving substances.
